# Virtual Accounts

> The core account type for your Rex partners

Virtual Accounts are the standard Rex account type for issuing wallets and
collecting inbound transfers for your users.

Use this for **end users you want to give a wallet to** — the general-purpose
account type. A Virtual Account can:

* Send and receive money ([Transfer Between Accounts](/api-reference/virtual-accounts/transfer-between-rex-issued-accounts),
  [Transfer to Another Bank](/api-reference/virtual-accounts/transfer-to-another-bank))
* Receive inbound transfers from other banks
* Be posted to directly ([Post a Manual Credit or Debit](/api-reference/virtual-accounts/post-a-manual-credit-or-debit))

No subscription required — available as soon as your partner account is provisioned.
